I’m filled with gratitude to be joining the choir of the University of Maryland and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for Bernstein’s masterful Kaddish Symphony No. 3, full of stirring words and music both by the composer himself.
Great God,
You who make peace in the high places,
Who commanded the morning since the days began,
And caused the dawn to know its place.
Surely You can cause and command
A touch of order below,
On this one, dazed speck.
And let us say again: Amen.
